Winslow Players

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a pantomime written and directed by Fran Mortimer is now on at Winslow Public Hall, take a trip to the Emerald Castle and follow the yellow brick road to world of fantastic costume and great scenery.

Fran said "Every time we rehearse together, the cast seem to take my vision and make it better than I ever could have thought. Every song, every dance and every joke still fills me with joy every time I hear them. Myself, the cast and the backstage crew have worked so incredibly hard to make this pantomime what it is, and I couldn't be more grateful to them. It really is a total fantasy world, the way it has all come together and how well the costumes and makeup are really make it complete. I am extremely proud of everything we have accomplished together and as the story is one of my childhood favourites and I had personally written it, I was determined to make it the best I could. I feel extremely honoured to have been given the opportunity to produce The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to commemorate the Winslow Players 50th Anniversary".

The show is on from the 1st - 3rd February at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
