Last week the Bucks Federation of WI's held an Investigation and Discovery Day at The Gateway in Aylesbury. The day was full of inspiration with talks from Dr Mark Spencer, a forensic biologist, Professor Elizabeth Tunbridge, who is currently leading a research group in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford, Louise Hall a commercial services manager for flood defence works and Naomi Climer, an engineer.

'Our popular annual Women’s Institute 'Investigation and Discovery Day' gives our members an opportunity to learn about the exciting advances in science, technology, engineering and maths. This year they went away buzzing with the latest news on forensic botany, the influence of genes on mental health, flood prevention and the technology we can expect to be using in 2050!!'
